Melitta coffee filters with aroma openings are made from Nordic paper pulp.
The filters do not contain recycled fibers. The punched edges are embossed mechanically, i.e. no glue or other binders are used. Melitta Coffee Filters are perforated with small, tiny holes that make the coffee brew at the perfect speed.
All the flavor and aroma goes with the cup, while the bitter substances remain in the sump.
