When warm objects such as people and animals pass by the detection area of ​​the PIR motion sensor, the IR signal changes which is detected by the pyroelectric probe. The sensor then reports the change to the app or a gateway. Detailed info about the reporting process: When the sensor detects a possible human movement (a change in the IR signal), it sends "Motion Detected" to the app/gateway, starts a 50-second timer and goes into sleep (it stops detecting motion within the 50-second sleep). If the sensor detects a change in the IR signal within 10 seconds of waking from sleep, it enters another sleep/wake cycle without reporting to the app/gateway. If the sensor does not detect any change in the IR signal (no motion) within 10 seconds after waking from sleep mode, it will send a "No Motion" message to the app/gateway. The automation trigger with the “no motion” condition takes effect if the app does not receive a “motion detected” message after the sensor sends the “No Motion” message to the app and the service is activated in the backend.
